Note important changes about Adobe Flash files

PC USERS:

Adobe has discontinued support of Flash files (.swf file extensions). If you have an older version of the slides with a .swf file extension, then go to the S.T.A.B.L.E. Program website and click on Online Slides. You will find information that directs instructors to the slide login page.

MAC USERS:

The Adobe Flash files that were on the the USB or DVD prior to April 1 2020 will work, but you need to download a 3rd party player, such as Elmedia. Please note that Adobe does not recommend use of any 3rd party players because they remain vulnerable to virus attack. If you choose to download a 3rd party player, go to: https://mac.eltima.com/elmediaplayer.html

The .exe (executable files) on the USB or DVD will NOT work on a MAC computer.

The S.T.A.B.L.E. Program is the most widely utilized and implemented pre-transport / post-resuscitation stabilization educational and clinical tool. “S.T.A.B.L.E.” stands for the six program modules: Sugar and Safe care, Temperature, Airway, Blood pressure, Lab work, and Emotional support for the family. A seventh module, Quality Improvement stresses the professional responsibility of improving and evaluating care provided to sick infants. Neonatal assessment and stabilization guidelines are offered in each module. Prevention of adverse events and delivery of safe patient care are stressed throughout the program. This highly visual and unique slide program is designed for self-study or instructor-led presentations. Numerous illustrations, photos, and animations make difficult concepts easy to understand for all levels of learners.

At times, the educational needs of neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) staff and those working in maternal/child areas are different. Therefore, the Sugar and Safe care, Temperature, Airway, and Blood pressure modules are available as separate NICU and Non-NICU slide presentations. The Lab work, Emotional support, and Quality improvement modules are the same slide presentation for both NICU and Non-NICU. The renewal course slides are included on the DVD.
